Born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska, soprano Victoria Fraser received a BA in Music from Smith College where she graduated Magna Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa, garnered multiple graduate awards and received High Departmental Honors for her senior thesis in composition. She completed a Master’s in Vocal Performance at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music in 2012 under the tutelage of Pamela Fry. Victoria is currently a student of Stephen Lancaster in the Sacred Music program at the University of Notre Dame. She has performed in professional choirs around the world including Il Coro del Duomo in Florence, Italy as both soloist and chorus member; the Vocalensemble Frankfurt Dom, in Frankfurt, Germany; Vox Humana in Dallas, Texas; True Concord in Tucson, Arizona; the Berwick Chamber Chorus at the
Oregon Bach Festival; the Bachkantaten-Akademie choir in Thuringia, Germany; and two Detroit-based groups: Audivi Vocem, under Noah Horn and Sounding Light, under Tom Trenney. She has sung under the direction of Masaaki Suzuki, Helmut Rilling, Matthew Halls and Craig Hella Johnson. When not performing, Victoria is passionate about the outdoors. A certified PADI Dive Master, she seeks adventure in one of her many hobbies: SCUBA diving, downhill skiing and mountain biking.
